Position Summary:
As a Lubricant Driver for the oil and lubes division at Rolfson Oil the main responsibilities will be to safely and efficiently deliver lubricant products using various types of vehicles (tanker, semi, stake bed, F550, compression trucks, etc.) to customer locations. This position requires a person to must be self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, good at multi-tasking, high on customer service, professional and knowledgeable about the products.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Able to transport oils and lubes products safely and efficiently to various job sites though bulk product transfers as well as packaged (totes, drums, cases, cased good, etc.).
- Maintain the vehicle to meet all DOT regulations.
- Ensure that all DOT regulations are followed.
- Comply with all company and customer safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Complete and submit pre-trip and post-trip inspection reports on a daily basis.
- Load, transport, and unload each shipment without delay.
- Secure all products, hoses, and other essential tools by using approved securing method.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records for both the company and customers in compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations.
- Perform services for customers such as but not limited to; oil changes, generator changes, top drive changes, mud pump changes, draw works changes, anti-freeze flushes, and compressor motor changes.
- Customer services/sales by speaking to customers while on site about products and services to generate sales. This requires extensive product knowledge and communication to operations on new orders.
- Compression site work, which is labor intensive (involves 9-15 delivers a day, elevated tanks, hose slinging, etc.).
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid Class A or CDL with the following endorsements: Tank Vehicle "N" and Hazardous Materials "H"
- Minimum of 3 years of CDL Hazmat driving experience
- Minimum of 3 years liquid hauling experience
- Minimum of 25 years of age
- Ability to lift 75lbs
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Safe driving history- no major violations on PSP/MVR in the last 5 years such as a DUI
- Pass DOT drug test
- Speak, write, read, and understand English
- Flexible schedule (may include nights and will be weekends)
- Able to work outside for long periods of time
- Independent and self-motivated
- Customer service experience
