Rolfson Oil, LLC is a growing fuel supply and logistics company focused on the fueling needs of the oil and natural gas industry. Since 1985 Rolfson Oil has delivered bulk fuel and lubricants to business, agriculture, and the oil field in North Dakota, Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Oklahoma.
Job Description:
We are looking for a hands-on HR Generalist to support the field operations. The ideal candidate should have strong communication (verbal and written), attention to detail, adaptability, high energy, time management (able to handle high volume in fast pace environment), critical thinking, sound judgement, exceptionally organized, and comparable experience. This role is NOT open to remote or hybrid - five days in office required. If this role excites you, we’d like to talk with you.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the onboarding and offboarding process for employees
- Maintaining employee files and maintaining compliance with HR policies
- Assisting with performance evaluations and performance management initiatives
- Facilitating conflict resolution and addressing concerns related to the work environment
- Conducting internal audits and helping enforce legal compliance with employment laws
- Ensures compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and work assessments and updating of records
- Understanding the DOT policies and ensuring Driver Qualification files are up-to-date and in compliance
- Collaborating with managers to address any employee or team issues
- Conduct investigations, ensure fair and consistent policy application, documenting processes, administering disciplinary action
- Utilizing HRIS systems and ensuring employee data is accurate and up-to-date
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Essential Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work with minimal mistakes in a fast paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
- Pass drug test and criminal background check
- 5-10 years of HR Generalist experience is a must
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Oilfield industry experience is a strong preference
- Knowledge in DOT compliance is preferred
- Bachelors Degree and/or HR Certification preferred
